Shopping
So far I've had a lot of posts on the more superficial topics like shopping and vanity. Don't take this as evidence of how shallow I am. I think deep thoughts too, just like Jack Handy.
My Favorite Shops
Tyler - Shangila Mall and Glorietta
they've got clothes with interesting details, killer pointy shoes and really nice bags. I like that (1) they don't make much of one style so you don't need to worry about having a mango-match, and (2) they always have goodies tucked away in their stockroom, which they bring out when asked.
Firma - Malate
I have to admit I visit Firma in Malate mostly to ogle the jewelry and some of the home accessories. I love Dennis, who is one of the co-owners, because he's really friendly and we always end up chatting about food...such as the chocolate eh fondue at Cafe Adriatico, and suman sa lihiya :P They've got a nice little dog named Walter who lives in a pretty red dog chateau too. We always pet him when we visit. Recently they've started selling clothes by Kate Torralba (mostly tiny tops with matching bags). They also launched a sosy doggie dress line as well.
Firma - Greenbelt 3
No clothes here, but a lot of beautiful jewelry and interesting bags (except the jelly bags which I never took a liking to). I like their bric a brac and wax seals. I bought a wax seal with a roaring lion. I haven't used it yet but I like that I have something pretty next to me.
Carbon - Shagrila Mall and Greenbelt3
Nice bags and Pointy Shoes. I want to buy my mom a black hobo with large metal rings at the strap.
Rustans - Shangrila Mall and Makati
Essences
Landes / Hobbes
Hobbies and Crafts, calligraphy tools, wax seals, plus... they've got SEA MONKEYS!
Lush
I love their New shampoo, Fuel consitioner, Dream Cream, Silky Underwear and T for Toes powders, Middle Earth turns to Rock, Utterly Nutterly soaps
Souk - The Crescent Building, San Miguel Avenue
unique jewelry, Dr. Scholl's sandals, reworked Vintage clothing, Un Chien Apres' de Midi bags, everything is a goodie!
Itsie Bitsie - Adriatico St., Malate
Great Bikinis, occasional jewelry, Santa Maria Novella colognes, James Perse shirts
Book Sale
